Professional info

I'm a Ph.D. Candidate and research assistant at New York University’s  C2SMART (Connected Cities with Smart Transportation), a Tier 1 University Transportation Center funded by USDOT.

On the industry side, I am Interning at Aimsun Inc. (transportation modeling software) in the NYC’s office, working in the professional service team.

Prior to joining the Transportation program, I worked as an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering and Construction Management at the Universidad del Azuay, and professionally during eight years as a professional engineer in Ecuador for several private transportation firms and public agencies, developing traffic projects and transportation plans for large and small cities.

My role as both student and research assistant continues to reinforce my passion for transportation and knowledge of the field. Throughout my education, as my curriculum vitae shows, I have had excellent opportunities to take a variety of courses during my graduate studies. I believe that my continuous pursuit of leadership roles shows my understanding that leadership is not something that can be solely learned in the classroom. I also believe that my professional, teaching, tutoring and volunteer experience, combined with my coursework and research background make me a qualified professional
