Research.
My current research focuses on transportation planning and sustainability problems. Exploring the emergence of new, tech-enabled transportation services and the effects of private transportation services in cities, focus on new forms of private transit services such as Uber and Lyft. One of the topics that I am working right now is of modeling the social welfare impacts of the taxi and for-hire markets like Uber, using data-driven models that capture the dynamics of within-day matching between taxis and customers.
